We want the results to last, so you don’t come back time and again with the same pain patterns. Therefore, we analyse certain areas in your lifestyle that may be contributing to your pain.

We said before that we look at the human body through the eyes of a structural engineer. We want your spine to be optimally supported for maximum balance. Basically, your body needs a stable “platform” to rest on, whether you are sitting, standing, or sleeping; whether you are at work, at home, or on the road. If the “platform” is off-kilter (i.e. the wrong height or shape for your body), your body will be off-kilter.

We analyse the kinds of “platforms” your body will experience in everyday life. This means we check your desk setup, your car seat, your shoes, and your pillow. For some patients it means checking their golf shoes, running shoes or hiking boots. For some it means checking the seat of their car or the computer chair they use at work. We will also advise you on the best sleeping position for your body, alongside advice on how to support your neck and spine while lying down. We will teach you the best options for pillows and mattresses — and no, this does not mean we will try to sell you new pillows or mattresses! On the contrary.

We work with what you already have. Once you know what to watch out for, you can replicate the results wherever you are — whether you sleep in your own bed or in a hotel bed, whether you sit at home or at an in-office meeting or at a new restaurant We teach you how to hack train seats, plane seats, and car seats so you don’t experience stiffness and fatigue at the end of a journey.

All our advice is customised to your body, your specific pain patterns, and your specific spinal twist patterns. Some patients need a simple towel under their bum or behind their back when they are sitting, or a towel on top of their pillow when sleeping. We will teach you specifically what your body needs.

We like to keep things simple. We don’t want you to go out and buy “posture support” gadgets. Most of the time, they are expensive gimmicks that cannot be customised or fine-tuned to the degree that most bodies need, or they are based on outdated assumptions.
